The DS Legacy
Dance Sophisticates was founded in 1983 as a provider of dance/drill team uniforms. Denise Dennis, former director of a five-time national champion drill-team The Royalettes, started Dance Sophisticates that has provided high-quality custom garments ever since.
For over 40 years now, Dance Sophisticates been designing world-class performance apparel, flags, and accessories. We understand the importance of creating a unique look that makes performers feel as great as they look. Our team is passionate about working with you to bring your vision to life. DS knows what it is like to dream of, develop, and realize a concept. We strive to push the limits of what's possible for costuming in the performing arts, whether it's on a small stage or in a championship arena.
Our expert designers create show stopping looks that bring your story to life and never requires expensive alterations. Only DS costumes are patterned individually at no additional cost! You will never see a DS garment labeled small, medium, or large. Every made-to order design is delivered to you tagged with your student’s measurements clearly labeled.
All garments are proudly made in the U.S.A!
